by Ron Lim

no idea where I want to be but I will keep going In this book, Ron documents the process of his inner and outer journey of self-discovery. This journey involved awakening to the fact that he wanted more out of life, the internal struggle he faced while convincing himself to leave the only home he knew, and eventually departing his comfort zone by buying a one-way plane ticket. This collection of prose explores the obstacles we must face and figure out for ourselves, the discover of our true purpose, and the realization that many things in life are more straightforward than we imagine them to be, despite how unnecessarily complicated we make them.

How to build a closet full of intentional style?

The best way to get started is to take manageable steps to collect inspiration that will helpy ou define your style and be able to manifest it.  Before we start shopping or even clean outour closets- we need to establish our guide to what we want to shop for and what we want to edit out of our closets.  We need to first define our style- not by what we already own, but by what we are aspiring to be.

CPW (Cost Per Wear)

Can dramatically change your shopping. It is a simple calculation to figure out if a piece is, quite simply, worth the cost. To find take the cost of the item and divide by the estimated times worn per year (for example 2 times a week would be 104) and that is it...you have your CPW for the item.

Set Your Goals

Before embarking on any
journey, it is worth the pause a million times over to articulate what exactly you want to achieve. The problem with instant makeovers is that your authentic personal style (discovering what you truly like) is something only you can do for yourself.

Get Organized

The best way to do this is to sort through your closet piece by piece and roll up your sleeves and get started. This will also help you to figure out what you are missing and areas that you need to focus on when you are
shopping.

Intentional Wishlist

Make a list of items that you NEED to unlock your wardrobe and define your style that will be a roadmap to help you focus your intentions on the items that will have the most impact on your wardrobe and give you confidence in your purchases and change your purchasing from focusing on your budget to focusing on your wardrobe goals.
